Tributary Brewing Company
Tod Mott, the owner and master brewer at Tributary Brewing Company, has been a legend in the brewing world for quite some time. He’s most well-known for his work with Harpoon and Portsmouth Breweries. Tributary Brewing Company opened in September 2014, fulfilling a life-long dream for him, and the praise for Tod and his beers have been “pouring” in ever since!
The Beers
The beers on tap at Tributary Brewing Company are the real stars of the show! Because the beer selection changes frequently, only four beers are on tap at a time, but chances are, you’ll love each and every beer you try. Tributary Brewing’s Beer Advocate rating is consistently stellar, as are the Yelp! reviews. You can find out what’s on tap before you go, or, better yet, order a beer flight when you arrive. The flight is four 4-ounce pours of all the beers on tap. And, of course, you can always order a full glass of your preference, and even get a growler to go. The knowledgeable staff is always happy to tell you more about the beers, their processes, and even recommendations for food or other breweries to check out as you travel.
The Location
Don’t let the strip mall location fool you! Inside, Tributary Brewing Company is a cool oasis, clean and welcoming. Feeling more like a bar at times than a tasting room, Tributary boasts some casual picnic tables, along with a classic bar, all within view of the stainless tanks of the brew house. A food truck is often located just outside, and will deliver your sandwiches or sliders to your table inside Tributary. There’s also all sorts of souvenirs available (hats, shirts, glasses), and the place is dog-friendly as well. (You’re likely to see Tod’s friendly dog roaming around, looking for scraps!) Plus, the brewery also features live music on the weekends!
